Agricultural & occupationally-tied dwellings

Planning permission for new homes in the open countryside is seriously restricted and exceptions are only made in a limited number of special exceptions. This includes where  the dwelling is absolutely necessary to support the functioning of an agricultural, or rural-based business or occupation.  Proving a dwelling is necessary can be difficult and complicated and invariably there are lots of different hoops to jump through and conditions to adhere to.
